EK, East Kilbride / With over 180 leading brand names and covering an area in excess of one million square feet, ‘EK, East Kilbride’ is Scotland’s largest undercover shopping and leisure destination.

The centre also plays an important role in the local community through its position as East Kilbride’s town centre.

In an increasingly competitive retail environment, we work closely with the in-house marketing team to develop and deliver a series of innovative communications initiatives that generate usable content that has multi-platform uses.

Highlights include an award winning integrated campaign to support a reinvigorated retail awards programme which boosted retailer and customer confidence, and a wide-ranging communications programme to support the opening of the centre’s multi-million pound leisure hub.

The Hub campaign involved a multi-channel approach to push the message that EK had evolved into an ‘experiential’ destination.  The communications team combined a programme of stakeholder engagement, media relations and social media management in the lead up to and during the three day launch event to show that the centre was meeting the challenges of the changing retail landscape.

Complementing this we have also been integrally involved in the development of the centre’s wide-ranging community programme, including the establishment of a Community Fund that has, to date, supported almost 80 local, good causes.
