Legion Scotland / Legion Scotland is the largest ex-service membership charity in Scotland with over 31,000 members.

Our work focussed on a campaign of engagement with its members across the country, as well as profile raising to attract new members and donors.

Reporting to the charity’s Head Office we created a number of initiatives that included liaising with local members in order to source content that could be used across multiple platforms including press, online and social channels and in the successful Legion Scotland magazine.

We also launched ‘Give A Little For Veterans’, a major national fundraising drive that resulted in 25 pieces of positive media coverage. The nationwide appeal for ‘befrienders for veterans’ led to 29 pieces of positive media coverage bringing a surge in interest for this important part of the charity’s work.

During the highest profile moments of the charity’s year we managed media requirements at the major Remembrance events across the country, including the Remembrance Sunday memorial attended by the First Minister and VIPs representing a myriad organisations.

Understanding the requirements of different communications channels, including print & broadcast media outlets and social and digital platforms was important to all of our work and was key to its successful delivery.
